| Trouble x Cash Pups Week 5.5 MLFloyd 9/27/2006 |
These were taking Tuesday evening after I got home. I have to say I laughed pretty hard and Trouble worked her butt off to keep things orderly. Forgive the blurred images, it was hard to shoot and keep my balance.
Unfortunately, this was also the last evening for the little black tri female, who showed such a lot of promise and had such a wonderful, loving spirit and attitude. She was my favorite.
And so goes with her the heartache of a breeder.
Wednesday morning she was diagnosed with PRAA (persistant right aortic arch)/Megasophogus and was put to sleep. Although this is not hereditary in Aussies and can be 'fixed' surgically, in my opinion it is not the quality of life an Aussie should live nor would I feel comfortable doing the surgery and expecting a lifetime of high maintenance to a new owner. The prognosis is a short life ending usually with death due to aspiration pneumonia.
