In 1860, My 2nd great grandfather William McLachlan married Angeline Cox Leister. Angeline was the daughter of Mary Ann Cox (oldest child of John Cox, Sr. our patriarch ancestor, and his first wife Sarah).

In 1862, Anna Maria (child of John Cox, Sr. and his second wife Margaret Ritter) married William Moyer, a bricklayer that she probably met though her brother Salathiel.

Anna Maria Cox and William Moyer had a boy William "Willy" James that sadly died at the age of 4 years, 6 months in 1872.  Anna Maria died of consumption later that same year leaving William Moyer a widower with two surviving daughters.

By 1872, William McLachlan was quite bedridden from consumption. He died January 1874 leaving his wife Angeline a widow.

On August 11, 1875, William Moyer married Angeline Cox Leister McLachlan, the daughter of his first wife's half-sister. William Moyer became the stepfather of my great grandfather William McLachlan, Jr. (same age and same first name as his own son who died earlier). 

* In 1882, Salathiel Cox’s son William S Cox married Ella May McLachlan. She was the sister of William McLachlan (first husband of Angeline Cox)
