NEWSLETTER FALL 2026  

Dear Students and Parents.

What a joy to be back in our studios and inspiring the students to discover, concentrate, repeat, refine, and grow. We have a full group of younger students led by Catherine Shukle and Linor Lyanda-Geller, as well as the regulars, Lisa Douglas, and your director, Sandra Peticolas. We have a group of new pointe students, students going into more demanding classes, and adults who are finding a deep contentment in the musical and physical depths of classical ballet. Especially we have a small group of committed dancers in the upper levels, whose joy of performance motivates their dedication to improving their technique. These are who constitute "Lafayette Ballet Company dancers." They deserve your support and applause for foregoing the normal hanging out time of adolescence for a true teamwork and ambition. No medals, trophies or out of town competitions. They have the daily competitition with themselves to create an instrument of beauty and sensibility and bring a story or a piece of music to life. That is the art of ballet. It is not Instagram followers.

The school registration page is on the HOME PAGE links or simply a small email to let us know you are deliberating your family issues and will be back with us. And in the meantime, squeeze out the precious last moments of summer.

Our callout for the Ice Queen is now ongoing. We need you to visit the ICE QUEEN page and sign up so that we can set our casting, costuming, and choreography for the 2nd year of this full length ballet in our ballroom. The Ice Queen
