This burnous is both simple and elegant.  It is made with a double front, the under one of which simulates a long jacket.  The upper front, as well as the back is pointed.  The original is of dark brown velours, trimmed with silk braid.

This mantilla is designed for evening, opera, or concert toilette.  The illustration shows it arranged on the figure.  The original is of black figured lace, with lace trimming, rounded in the back.
