PHYSIOLOGY BIOLOGY 5    

Course Description:  Biology 5 Physiology is a course in biological function intended for students pursuing careers in allied health fields and physical education.  It is a one semester, 4 unit course. The traditional course consists of 2 hours of lecture and 6 hours of laboratory each week. 

 We explore how cells, tissues and organs organize into body systems and how those systems function and interrelate.  Regulatory mechanisms that maintain homeostasis will be emphasized.  Biology 5 is offered as a day class during the spring and fall semesters and as a night class in Fall 2017.  Hybrid Biology 5 will return in Spring 2018.  Biology 5 is not available as an intersession or summer session course.

BIO 5 STUDENTS:  DON'T FORGET TO SIGN UP FOR BIO 35 PROBLEM SOLVING IN PHYSIOLOGY.  It is a 1-unit course, Fridays 11 - 11:50am, taught by Mr. Stollberg.  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - Students get better grades!!
