Waist
Gray Étamine was the material of this
gown, trimmed with black lace insertions which are under laid with white
taffeta ribbon. These insertions are set down the front and back of
the waist and skirt in continuous lines, and also form three curved bands
around the skirt, the lowest of which heads the attached flounce. The waist
has a square plastron of cross-tucked white taffeta, with a collar of the
same, which is trimmed with bows and rosettes of white chiffon. It has
large revers made of white taffeta covered with rows of lace insertion, and
the tops of the sleeves are folded in cross pleats which are covered with
lace insertions. Pattern consists of plastron, bodice and skirt.
