IBEW Local 46 continues its proud tradition of quality craftsmanship, leadership in our community, excellent wages and benefits for members, and innovation in organizing the unrepresented.

Local 46 jurisdiction includes King, Kitsap, Jefferson and Clallam Counties. Our main office is located in the Kent valley with a satellite office in Silverdale.

Local 46 is composed of close to 5,000 members in a variety of craft units.

NOTICE

Apprentices traveling out of the jurisdiction:

The Parties have agreed that apprentices working under the Three Local Portability Agreement shall not be required to accept training assignments beyond a 35-mile radius from the JATC office in Renton.

Apprentices may turn down training assignments that take them out of the jurisdiction and beyond 35 miles from the JATC office.

Apprentices may not turn down training assignments within the jurisdiction of the Local, no matter what the mileage.

Evergreen Medical Center

 . . is a new emergency department and nine-story inpatient care wing nearly doubled the square footage of the Evergreen Hospital Medical Center in Kirkland.

Century Link Field

 . . is a multi-purpose stadium in Seattle. It serves as the home field for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League and Seattle Sounders FC of Major League Soccer.

ShoWare Center

 . . is a 6,500-seat, 154,400-square-foot (14,340 m2) multi-purpose arena in Kent. Its principal tenants are the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League, Tacoma Stars of the Major Arena Soccer League, and the Seattle Mist of the Legends Football League.

Link Light Rail

Sound Transit Link Light Rail is a rapid transit project in the Greater Seattle region. Two lines are currently operating: Tacoma Link and Central Link. The University Link is expected to start operating in 2016. More links have been approved from Everett to Tacoma and out to Redmond.

    The Puget Sound Electrical JATC (PSEJATC) is a non-profit organization that provides the training required to receive certifications in Inside Wireman (Construction) Electrician, Low Voltage/Sound and Communication Electrician and Residential Electrician.

PSEJATC is jointly sponsored by the Puget Sound Chapter of the NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) and IBEW Local 46 (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). It is the responsibility of PSEJATC to provide training for apprentices and journeymen in the organized electrical industry within the Local 46 jurisdiction which includes King, Kitsap, Jefferson and Clallam counties.
